Caramel and Cheese Flavoured Popcorn

  • Makes: 10 cups (2.5L)  
  • Freezes: not recommended 
  • Preparation Time: 10 minutes 

Ingredients

1 can300ml Eagle Brand® Dulce de Leche Caramel Flavoured Sauce

10 cups2.5L popped popcorn

1 tsp5ml salt

½ cup125ml cheddar grated cheese product, divided

Directions

  1 Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2 Bring caramel flavoured sauce to a boil in saucepan, stirring frequently.

  3 Continue cooking for 1 minute and remove from heat.

  4 Place popcorn in a large bowl. Pour hot caramel flavoured sauce over popcorn. Stir to coat. Sprinkle with salt.

  5 Transfer to prepared baking sheet and arrange in single layer. Sprinkle with ¼ cup (50mL) cheese.

  6 Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Let cool completely and break into pieces.
