Chocolate Honey Almond Fondue

  • Makes: 1 1/3 cups (325 mL)  
  • Preparation Time: 5 minutes 

Ingredients

Fondue

4 squares (1 oz /28 g each) semi-sweet or milk chocolate

1 can300 ml Eagle Brand® Regular or Low Fat sweetened condensed milk

2 tbsp30 ml honey

1/2 tsp2.5 ml vanilla extract

1/8 tsp0.5 ml pure almond extract

Dippers

Pound cake cubes, melon, cherries with stems, fresh strawberries, orange slices, apple wedges, grapes, dried apricot, peach, plum or pear slices, kiwi slices and marshmallows

Directions

  1 In double boiler over medium heat, combine chocolate, sweetened condensed milk and honey. Cook, stirring continuously just until chocolate is melted.

  2 Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and almond extracts.

  3 Serve immediately with dippers.

Tip(s)

Can be served warm or cold over ice cream. Can be made several days ahead and stored, tightly covered in refrigerator.


Variation : Use pure orange extract instead of almond extract
