Silky Chocolate Pudding

Silky Chocolate Pudding

  • Makes: 2 ½ cups (625mL)  
  • Preparation Time: 5 minutes, plus chilling time 
  • Cooking Time: 10 minutes 

Ingredients

1 can300ml Eagle Brand® Regular or Low Fat Sweetened Condensed Milk

¼ cup50ml milk

¼ cup50ml unsweetened cocoa powder

3 tbsp45ml cornstarch

1 ½ cups375ml semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 tsp10ml pure vanilla extract

½ cup125ml whipped topping

Directions

  1 Place sweetened condensed milk, milk, cocoa and cornstarch in a medium saucepan. Stir to combine well.

  2 Cook mixture, stirring frequently, on medium heat until slightly thickened, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in chocolate chips and vanilla until melted. Strain mixture into bowl.

  3 Wrap with plastic wrap and chill in refrigerator 1 hour. Stir whipped topping into cold mixture. Top with additional whipped topping if desired. Serve.

Tip(s)

This recipe is best eaten the same day it is made. Replace the semi-sweet chocolate chips for any of your favourite chocolate flavours.
