Fudgey Chocolate Fondue
This is a classic recipe to serve to your chocolate lovers. Wonderful with fresh strawberries or chunks of pound cake.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Serving: 2 1/2 cups (625 mL)
2 cups (500 mL) Smucker's® Sundae Syrup™ Chocolate Flavored Syrup (1 bottle)
1 can (300 mL) Eagle Brand® Regular or Low Fat Sweetened Condensed Milk
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 tsp (7 mL) vanilla extract
1. Combine chocolate syrup, sweetened condensed milk and salt in a heavy saucepan.
2. Cook over medium heat, stirring until mixture just comes to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
3. Serve warm with assorted dippers. Use wooden skewers to help with the dipping.
Notes:Serve with fresh fruit such as strawberries, sliced bananas, apple slices, melon balls, cherries with stems, orange slices, dried apricots, or any other favourite fruit. You can also use pound cake cubes and marshmallows. The fondue can also be served warm or cold over ice cream. You can make this several weeks ahead and store tightly covered in refrigerator.
