Fudgey Pecan Pie Recipe

Crunchy pecans atop a silky smooth chocolate filling makes “Fudgey Pecan Pie” a decadent show-stopper that takes only 15 minutes to make.

Prep Time: 15 minute plus baking time
Preheat To: 350ºF (180ºC)
Serving: 6-8 portions


2 squares (28 g each) semi-sweet chocolate
1/4 cup (50 mL) butter
1 can (300 mL) Regular or Low Fat Eagle Brand® sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup (125 mL) hot water
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
1 1/4 cups (300 mL) pecan halves or pieces
1 (9"/23 cm) unbaked pastry shell


1.  Melt chocolate with butter. Stir in Eagle Brand, hot water and eggs; mix well. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla, salt and pecans.
2.  Pour into prepared pastry shell.
3.  Bake in preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 40 minutes or until centre is set. Cool slightly. Serve warm or chilled. Garnish as desired.
