Black Forest Cheesecake
Who do you want to spoil? Rich, dark, mysterious, the taste of the traditional Black Forest cake make this cheesecake the ultimate in decadence.
Prep Time: 20 minutes plus baking time
Preheat To: 300ºF (150ºC)
Serving: 10-12 portions
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups (300 mL) graham wafer crumbs
1/4 cup (50 mL) sugar
1/3 cup (75 mL) butter, melted
3 pkgs (250 g each) regular or light cream cheese, softened
1 can (300 mL) Regular or Low Fat Eagle Brand® sweetened condensed milk
8 oz (225 g) semi-sweet chocolate, melted
4 eggs
2 tsp (10 mL) vanilla extract
1 can (19 oz/540 mL) cherry pie filling, chilled
Preparation:
1. Combine crumbs, sugar and butter; press firmly on bottom of 9" (23 cm) springform pan.
2. Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually beat in Eagle Brand, melted chocolate, eggs and vanilla.
3. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 300º F (150º C) for 50-55 minutes or until set. Cool and chill overnight.
4. Top with pie filling and garnish as desired.
