Cherry Angel Cream Cake Recipe

Prepares like a dream… tastes like a dream. Comes in cherry or peach.. or any flavour you dream in !

Prep Time: 20 minutes plus chilling time
Serving: 10-12


1 (284-300 g) prepared round angel food cake, frozen (for easy slicing)
1 can (300 mL) Regular or Low Fat Eagle Brand® sweetened condensed milk
1 cup (250 mL) cold water
1 tsp (5 mL) almond extract
1 pkg (102 g) vanilla instant pudding mix
2 cups (500 mL) whipping cream, whipped
2 cans (19 oz/540 mL) cherry or peach pie filling


1.  Cut cake into 1/4" (0.5 cm) slices; arrange half the slices on bottom of 13x9" (3.5 L) baking dish.
2.  Combine Eagle Brand, water and extract; mix well. Add pudding mix; beat well. Chill 5 minutes. Fold in whipped cream.
3.  Spread half the cream mixture over cake slices; top evenly with one can pie filling. Top with remaining cake slices, cream mixture and pie filling. Chill 4 hours or until set. Cut into squares to serve. Refrigerate leftovers.
