How-To Recipe Videos

The Magic Cookie Bar –Eagle Brand’s most famous and popular recipe – was invented in the 1960’s as the Hello Dolly.  A simple layered bar that takes 8 minutes to prepare, the Magic Bar relies on the magic of Eagle Brand to hold all the ingredients together and give it its moist and chewy texture.  Use the basic toppings – chocolate chips, nuts and coconut – check out the many variations of the Magic Bar in our online recipe collection - or invent one of your own!

when I make these, I just use whatever is in my cupboards and have had great success. I always double up the graham cracker layer, pour over one tin of Eagle Brand milk, using the flavored or regular, then sprinkle on whatever I have on hand...peanuts, reeses chips , etc, I then cover the top with miniature marshmallows and pour another tin of the milk over the whole pan. I bake them about 5 minutes longer. I get reuests for these at every church event.

@labeeba, use Parchment paper, not wax paper. Parchment paper doesnt have a finish, its just a non-stick paper. This is my favourite treat of all time!

do i have to put oil or butter on the wax paper to avoid the cook to stick on the wax paper?

I've made them so many times I don't need a recipe to follow it - they are so yummy and I pour the condense milk on top of the layered ingredients at the end instead of the first stiep and it comes out great and yes I have tried the oreo base and it is yummy too

this is an old family favorite. We have made them for over 30 years (we call them 6 layer cookies) and its become a family tradition. I like to experiement now and again with different toppings!
