Creamy Pecan Sauce

  • Makes: about 1 1/2 cups (375 mL)  
  • Preparation Time: 15 minutes 

Ingredients

1/4 cup50 ml butter

1 can300 ml Regular or Low Fat Eagle Brand® sweetened condensed milk

½ tsp2 ml flavouring dash salt

1/4 cup50 ml chopped pecans

Directions

  1 In heavy saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter; add remaining ingredients. Cook and stir until slightly thickened, 10 to 12 minutes (sauce thickens as it cools). Serve warm over baked apples, fruit or ice cream. Refrigerate leftovers.

  Microwave

  2 In 1-quart ( 1.14 L) glass measure, microwave butter on full power (high) 1 minute or until melted. Stir in remaining ingredients. Microwave on 2/3 power (medium high) 3 to 3/12 minutes. Proceed as above.
