Dainty Caramel Triangles

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups (300 mL) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) brown sugar
- 2/3 cup (150 mL) butter, softened and divided
- 1 can (300 mL) Original or Low Fat Eagle Brand® Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) corn syrup
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) chopped semi-sweet chocolate
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) pecan halves
Directions
Step 1:
Combine flour and sugar; cut in 1/2 cup (125 mL) butter to form a soft dough.
Step 2:
Press into parchment paper-lined 8" (2 L) square baking pan. Bake at 350°F (180°C) 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden.
Step 3:
In saucepan, combine Eagle Brand, corn syrup and remaining butter. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until mixture turns a light caramel colour. Spread over warm crust.
Step 4:
Top at once with chocolate and pecans.
Step 5:
Chill; cut into 20 triangles.
