Decadent Double Chocolate Brownie Cookie Bars

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups (300 mL) Robin Hood® All Purpose Flour
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) sugar
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) cold butter or margarine
- 1 can (300 mL) Eagle Brand® Original or Low Fat Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) unsweetened cocoa
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp (2.5 mL) baking powder
- 1 bar (8 oz) milk chocolate bar, broken into chunks
- 3/4 cup (75 mL) chopped nuts (optional)
Directions
Step 1:
Combine 1 cup (250 mL) flour and sugar, cut in butter until crumbly. Press firmly on bottom of parchment paper-lined 13" x 9" (3.5 L) baking pan. Bake in preheated 350ºF (180ºC) oven, 15 minutes.
Step 2:
Beat sweetened condensed milk, cocoa, egg, remaining 1/4 cup (50 mL) flour, vanilla and baking powder. Stir in chocolate chunks and nuts. Spread over baked crust.
Step 3:
Bake 20 minutes or until set. Cool. Cut into bars. (Store tightly covered at room temperature.)
