Ingredients

  • 1 can (300 mL) Original or Low Fat Eagle Brand® Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter, softened
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (250 mL) all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup (75 mL) unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup (250 mL) raisins (optional)

Directions

Step 1:

Beat Eagle Brand, egg, butter and vanilla until well blended.

Step 2:

Combine dry ingredients; add to egg mixture; beat well. Beat additional 1 minute at high speed. Stir in raisins, if using. Cover; chill about 1 hour.

Step 3:

Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto parchment paper-lined or lightly- greased baking sheets. Bake in preheated 350°F (180°C) oven 6 to 8 minutes or until set. Cool 1 minute on baking sheets; remove and cool completely. Store tightly covered.
