Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized tart apples, peeled, cored and finely sliced*
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
  • 3/4 tsp (3.5 mL) ground cinnamon, divided
  • 1 pkg (250 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (300 mL) Eagle Brand® Original or Low Fat Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
  • prepackaged crêpes
  • 2 1/2 tbsp (37.5 mL) chopped pecans, toasted

Directions

Step 1:

Sautée apples in butter and 1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground cinnamon, until slightly softened.

Step 2:

Beat cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla until smooth.

Step 3:

Spread 1 tbsp (15 mL) mixture down the centre of each crepe; top with about 2 tbsp (30 mL) warm escalloped apples. Roll up, and place, seam side down, in a serving dish.

Step 4:

Stir remaining cinnamon into remaining cream cheese mixture; dollop over filled crêpes, and sprinkle with toasted pecans.

Tip

*Place cut apple slices into a bowl with 2 tbsp (30 mL) lemon juice while slicing, to keep from browning.
