Ingredients

  • 2 squares (28 g each) semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) butter
  • 1 can (300 mL) Original or Low Fat Eagle Brand® Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) hot water
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 1/4 cups (300 mL) pecan halves or pieces
  • 1 9” / 23 cm unbaked pastry shell

Directions

Step 1:

Melt chocolate with butter. Stir in Eagle Brand, hot water and eggs; mix well. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla, salt and pecans.

Step 2:

Pour into prepared pastry shell.

Step 3:

Bake in preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 40 minutes or until centre is set. Cool slightly. Serve warm or chilled. Garnish as desired.
